Apex Education: How Will You Be Remembered?
Hello! We have another edition of Apex Education: How Do You Want To Be Remembered?
Ryan shares a few stories of some people that have made a huge impact in his life. Often, Ryan will say that all the best lessons that he has learned in life come from a housekeeper. That housekeeper happens to be his mom. When Ryan was a kid, he remembers that she was always working very hard and was able to convey the value of money to him. Still to this day Ryan is amazed at the teachings and lessons that she gave him.
Another massive influence on Ryan’s life, was his beloved grandfather. Ryan ‘s grandfather grew up on a farm in Indiana, had a ninth-grade education and was a proud and decorated veteran. He was a union machinist and took great pride in his appearance, his service to this country, and his family. Ryan recalls with a smile, how his grandfather would always say a dollar today does not buy what are used to. Ryan used to think that he was cheap, now he knows that he was a genius.
It wasn’t just Ryan’s immediate family that made a huge impact on his life, he was also blessed to have some great friends that he’s met over the years. One of these great friends was his barber’s dad who was always at the shop. Through spending time with him, they developed a great relationship. Ryan would stop by the barbershop even when he didn’t need a haircut, just to spend time with his dear friend. Unfortunately, he has since passed away, but Ryan will never forget the impact and influence that he had on his life. Ryan always takes advantage of any opportunity to share and celebrate in that man’s memory. In hopes of creating the impact that so many people have made in Ryan’s life, Ryan strives to make that impact in other people’s lives through charity, Hard work, and genuine connection.
